1. Online Autumn Forum
The 2023 Online Autumn Forum will be held on Sunday, November 26, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (tentative schedule). Optional information-sharing sessions for owners, managers/staff, and teachers will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
This year we would like to talk about how to gain and maintain students through events, social media, and our day-to-day operations and approach to dealing with students and parents/guardians.
The PLS System promotes intercultural understanding, manners and communicative English, not simply language practice or chasing scores. What can we do to keep students motivated and help them to continue to enjoy learning English long-term? How can we turn students and parents/guardians into “fans” of our schools?
We hope this forum will be an opportunity for schools to share and learn concrete ideas to approach such questions.
As always, all staff — teaching and non-teaching — are welcome.

2. Training Seminars
Seminar 1 was held in Osaka and Tokyo in September, and Seminar 2 in Osaka in early October. Seminar 2 in Tokyo is coming soon.
With a greater focus on practice over lectures, attendees have said they were pleased to get lots of hands-on training and left more confident than when they came.
While it is ultimately important for teachers to understand the intricacies of teaching English to children and hone their teaching abilities, Seminar 1 in particular highlights the importance of first becoming familiar with the materials and how to make the most of them.
Seminar 3 will be held in Osaka in November:
Sunday, November 12 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
Monday, November 13 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
